Just 12 km west of Paphos, you’ll find the coastal tourist area of Coral Bay, known for its wide beaches of golden sand along the sparkling blue waters of the Mediterranean. The main Coral Bay Beach is surrounded by restaurants, tavernas, and bars with live local music, and there are a variety of watersports available, such as water skiing, paragliding, and catamaran tours. Visitors to Coral Bay Beach can enjoy a day of swimming, snorkeling, or just relaxing in the sun, and there are umbrellas and loungers available for daily rentals. This is a great beach for all ages, as it is protected from rough waves due to barriers of land on both sides of the beach area, making it a perfect option for families. Coral Bay also has a second, smaller beach, the Laourou Beach. After a long day of fun in the sun, head to the Strip to enjoy the best Coral Bay nightlife options, located along the main road through town.
Beyond the hustle and bustle of the beach area, there are other attractions in Coral Bay that are worth a visit, such as the Paphos Zoo and the Maa-Palaeokastro Settlement. This is one of the earliest Greek colonization settlements, and it houses a small museum and excavations that are over 3,000 years old, along with stunning panoramic views of the surrounding coastline.
